Be Nicer to Yourself

This is my mantra for 2021. Like many of you, I struggle a lot with self-talk. I expect the best from myself, then get down because I didn't do as well as I expected or wasn't able to commit the time to something I promised myself I would. This is something I didn't really realize I was doing until I started working more on being kind to my mind - considering every single bit of information I was letting into my thoughts and actually deciding whether or not that was something worth thinking about. In doing that, I realized just how nasty negative self-talk can make me feel - it decreases my productivity for the day and impacts my relationships with others. My hope for you, with this wonderful little hug for your wrist, is that it gently reminds you throughout the day to keep it nice. Remember this - you get out what you put in. Kind words mean kind actions, and kind actions are the key to living a happy and fulfilling life.
