Story
Rainy days bring shining days, full of flowers and brightness and good things. Sometimes good things can happen in the rain too, but we often don’t recognize them as good until after the season passes.
A couple of years ago, I became very good friends with a girl who lived in my hometown. We quickly connected over a ton of shared interests, but our friendship came to an abrupt end a year in. I was devastated and confused as to why it was happening — I was granted no explanation. Months passed, and I started to realize that the end of our friendship was a good thing. It hurt so badly at the moment it ended, but after time apart, I realized that the friendship wasn’t good for me, nor was it good for her. We were holding each other back unintentionally. The friendship wasn’t allowing me to grow as a person or recognize the truths in others that I’d been blind to when we were friends.
Sometimes, you have to go through dark, rainy days to experience the good that comes afterward.
Whether you’re in a season of rain or sunshine, you’re in a season of growth. The hardship you’re facing right now is preparing you for what comes next. And, as this beautiful strap says, flowers grow after the storm. I hope this wonderful reminder helps you get through the dark patch you’re in right now and encourages you that there’s beauty on the other side.
Be bold,
