Story:
I love this Strap. While visiting Budapest for St. Stephen's day in 2017, we had a chance to explore Buda Castle and view all the amazing pieces of art. The outside of this Strap was actually painted in 1855 using a technique called grisaille. From a distance, the painting looks identical to a sculpture - it's not till you get up close that you realize the level of detail used to create the work. I had never seen this piece in any publication before and absolutely loved learning about the technique. To me, it symbolizes a lot of how we look at one another today.

It's very easy to judge someone from a distance - we let our preconceived ideas determine how we feel about people before we even meet. My hope for you, when wearing this Strap, is that it'll encourage you to get a bit closer; to appreciate the amazing details that make each and every one of us unique. It's in those moments, the ones where we truly care about giving people a chance, that we realize how similar we all really are. <3
