Inner Child

When I was younger, I had family that lived in Russia. One of my favorite gifts they'd send back to me were these beautiful little matryoshka dolls. If you're unfamiliar, they're these little wooden dolls that perfectly fit inside bigger versions of themselves. It was always fun opening them as some my sister and I's favorites had completely different dolls as you opened each layer. That was the inspiration for this wonderful ZOX Chelsea created here. 

As adults, it almost feels like 'growing up' means hiding the child within. Like an onion adding layers, we slowly become less curious and more set in our ways. It's almost as if all those layers tend to mask that childish joy we once experienced.

Remember that? 

Those are the moments when you'd laugh uncontrollably til you were tired. You were filled with wonder too. Remember the first time you saw something truly wonderful like an enormous elephant at the zoo or a skyscraper that seemed to be taller than we could ever comprehend? Just writing about this makes me yearn to have those moments back again. 

My hope for you is really something special when it comes to this ZOX. I hope it reminds you to let your inner child out more often. 

To let yourself be impressed.

To be curious and full of joy for no reason once in a while. 

Our time here on earth is so short and I truly believe that we can make each moment count even more by just appreciating it for what it is like we used to when we were young.
