Lead the Pack

Story

This morning, in a meeting I was having with our marketing team, something interesting was brought up. Someone said that a problem they see internally is that it’s very hard to know who else to turn to (other than me) for answers. This was brought up because so much of my day is spent meeting with individual people, helping them figure out how to make progress on a task at hand while having 3 other people waiting to ask me questions. 

Over the past 2 years, as we’ve transitioned from being my brothers and I, working out of my house to over 25 employees (and a robot!) working out of 4 warehouses, I’ve become obsessed with leadership. How did the best leaders, all throughout history, manage their team in such a meaningful way? What is the secret to leading a pack?

I found the answer was a lot more simple than I had expected: Great leaders listen. No matter how busy they may be, they make time to listen to each person on the team, then communicates back in a way that’s meaningful to them. 

No matter where you are on your journey, we are all leaders in some area of our life. My hope for you, with this Strap, is that it’ll remind you to lead by listening, no matter where you are.
