The Storm Will Pass

Take a breath, little one, things can’t always be undone.

I’m sorry if you start to feel sad or mad because everything is always changing, and sometimes adults do so much rearranging. Remember that tomorrow is a brand new day, so we can try another way. This storm of emotions too will pass, it’s not a feeling that will last.

Think about the sky, as clouds pass by,
At first it gets loud as thunder rumbles then lightning strikes,
Just like us when we yell and stomp our feet,
then it pours down rain from the clouds,
like the tears that fall from our eyes when we are frustrated or scared,
But after the storm ends everything feels calm,
Like our bodies do when we are tired,
Then the sun comes out to shine again,
Like us when we rise above our problems to start new, can you?
Let’s count to 10 and begin again.
